The forum "Minsk-Beijing" discussed business cooperation between China and Belarus

Business forum "Minsk-Beijing" was held on 21 June in the Belarusian capital. Head of the Beijing delegation and Vice-Chairman of the Beijing Subcommittee of the Chinese Committee for the promotion of international trade (CCPIT Beijing), Mr. Li Luxia (Li Luxia) noted that the Beijing authorities constantly strive to promote business and trade and investment cooperation with Minsk.

According to Mr. Lee, China and Belarus have a long history of friendly relations. In September 2016, President Lukashenko visited China on a state visit, during which the parties announced an agreement on comprehensive strategic partnership based on the principles of mutual trust and mutual benefits.

By the end of 2016, the volume of trade between China and Belarus reached 1,524 billion. USA. China has become the third largest trading partner and the largest Asian partner of Belarus with broad prospects for further expansion of cooperation. In the context of a continuous deepening of strategic partnerships and active initiative "Belt and road" the leadership of the Chinese capital held a business forum aimed at promoting business cooperation between the two countries. This event is a standard method for the establishment of sister city relations between the cities and demonstrates the desire of the authorities of Beijing to expand economic and trade cooperation with Minsk.

The co-organizers of the business forum were made by CCPIT Beijing and Minsk branch of Belarusian chamber of Commerce and industry. The event was attended by over 50 businessmen from Minsk, representing the food industry, arts, textile industry, pharmaceuticals, law and other sectors of the economy, and more than 70 Beijing enterprises from the sectors of energy, tourism, culture, agriculture, science and technology, economy and trade.
