Minimalist interior Coolidge Bar with adorable dogs on the walls in the spirit of the American artist, traditional European cuisine, and intriguing beer names are ideal not only for the bustling student hangouts, but also connoisseurs of art.
Artist Cassius Coolidge, known for his images of dogs playing poker or Billiards. The new venue is a hint of continuity is felt only by graffiti in the form of three dog's head on the white brick wall. One of them is depicted in repershu hat, the other wearing glasses and a bow tie, the third in the tied kerchief-style pin-up. The rest of the interior is laconic and minimalist: simple wooden tables and framed by brown sofas and armchairs, a strip of light along the ceiling. Despite the status bar, Seating in the "Coolidge" is quite traditional, with the tables, and the bar atmosphere is like a high stand in one of the halls, and that rated: to sit it is impossible, but you can see how changing illumination, smoothly flowing from one color to another, as it was fashionable in clubs in the early zero.
The menu includes fairly traditional European dishes like "Caesar" with chicken, cheese cream soup or pork ribs on the grill. But there are positions clearly intriguing — for example, pizza-grilled pita bread or Carbonara marked "non-traditional". A couple available in the menu of steaks can be cooked in a ceramic charcoal grill Big Green Egg.
Bar menu now consists of a dozen beer names, among which worth mentioning dark ale with spruce and slightly fruity aroma, bitter winter warming domestic production and strong coffee stout. There are a couple options from the same brewery Coolidge. In the near future promise to introduce a wine list, spirits and a range of cocktails-longs.
Due to its proximity to St. Petersburg state University journalism, in the future the institution is planning to introduce student activities as well as traditional business Lunches.
