As reported in media earlier, the political party "Green Alliance" holds primaries for the election of a single green candidate in mayors of Moscow. The participation of those potential candidates for the post of Moscow mayor, whose election program directly addresses the environmental problems of the capital.
Primaries for the nomination of a single candidate consists of two parts: online voting from April 16 to may 21 on the website of "green candidate", and offline voting, which will take place on 20 may in 12 locations in all administrative districts of Moscow. The winner will be determined on completion of those stages of voting.
Today in online voting have taken part more than 18 thousand people. The number of votes, out of 17 applicants, the five leaders: the Chairman of PP "Green Alliance" Alexander Zakondyrin; head of public Fund "Citizen" Maxim Shingarkin; media Manager, ecologist, activist Anastasia Kirsanova; journalist Natalia Dontsova and member of the political Council of "Russian ecological party "Green" Vladislav Zhukov.
Also, in the framework of the primaries between the candidates scheduled a debate that will take place in Moscow club "Pravda" on 17 may. Summing up, the primaries will be held may 26 at the Moscow environmental forum.
It should be noted that the idea to hold in Moscow the primaries to nominate a single "green candidate" was supported by the capital's municipal Council.
