Russian organization "CST command" (Command anti-state terrorism) sent to the editors of the Russian media and published an open letter in which he provided a list of media of Brazil, who incite Russophobia and spread fake news about Russia and Russian citizens. The list is headed by Brazil's largest media group "O GLOBO". As an alternative proposed a list reputable independent media, which was not seen in circulating anti-Russian news.
The chief Director of the Russian Bureau "CST command" Artem Semenov said that "the Last straw was the publication by TASS that the plane with the arrested former President of Brazil Lula da Silva landed in Curitiba, then I see online on the monitors that jet is still in flight, and on the other monitor to receive reports about interception of conversation with the Board, where Federal police suggest to throw off his plane. When our agencies receive information from biased anti-democratic forces sources (I mean primarily the "O Globo"), it jeopardizes not only the credibility of our media and news agencies, but inadvertently makes them accomplices of state terrorism under the shadow of which is now Brazil. The problem of fake news about our country and our citizens becomes particularly relevant in a period of heightened confrontation of information that in a police state, which is now Brazil, transformered a direct threat to our fellow tourists, entrepreneurs and transit passengers".
The letter also stressed the need to follow democratic norms and to respond to the false and hostile actions of the global media of Brazil, which cause distrust and rejection not only among Russians but also among most of the population of this fifth largest country in the world.
