Resurrection school was the first destination of the working visit Oleg Kuvshinnikova in the Cherepovets district. A little over a year ago, this school was merged with the neighbouring village boarding school. Now there are more than 200 students, 70 of them live in the orphanage. The school retained the lessons of labor education, conducted professional training on specialties: "carpenter", "seamstress", "grower". Oleg Kuvshinnikova acquainted with the exhibition of products of the pupils, after which he announced the decision to invite the leadership of the country to return to lessons in the Russian school.
"Children with their hands doing masterpieces! It and drawings, and painting on wood and carpentry, which are very popular. Children at this school receive a good work ethic, it helps them to socialize, and often choose their future profession. I think we should return to such practices in schools in the country - said the head of the region. - That the lessons of labor education was abolished - it's a huge mistake that must be corrected. Tonight I will sign a letter addressed to the President of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev about the need to immediately return to the labor upbringing in the educational school."
We will remind, the practice of involving school-age children to manual labor was widely used in the Soviet education system, however, virtually disappeared in the 90-ies of the last century. According to some experts, this is one of the most effective methods of Patriotic and cultural education of the younger generation.
