Sergey Levkin: the Renovation will not reduce the housing waiting list and beneficiaries

This year in the course of implementation of the State program "Dwelling" it is planned to build a 540 thousand square meters of housing, which will go on the housing waiting list and other preferential categories of citizens. This was reported today the head of the Department of urban planning policy of Moscow Sergey Levkin.

"In the next three years, the commissioning of housing under the state program "Housing" is expected at the level of 3.16 million square meters. Thus at the expense of the city budget for the needs of beneficiaries and waiting to be introduced about 540 thousand square meters annually. We will continue to provide apartments to the participants of the program of demolition of five-storey buildings of the first period of industrial housing, waiting list, veterans of the great Patriotic war, orphans and other categories of citizens eligible for housing. All the talk about the fact that the construction of housing in the social subroutines will be reduced by the implementation of the renovation Program are untrue. The program of renovation is a separate program and it will not affect the provision of housing waiting list and beneficiaries," - said Sergey Levkin.

Earlier the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin, speaking at the Board of the capital construction sector stated that the main objective of building the city - creating a convenient and comfortable environment for all social groups.
