Sergei lyovkin: More than 200 families participated in a charity event for children with disabilities

Charity event for children with disabilities aged 5 to 14 years took place on may 26 in COLLEDGE "Educational complex town planning of the Capital. The event is timed to the International children's day, organized by the young professionals Council of urban policy and the construction of the city of Moscow with the support of the Moscow Department of urban policy.

"Charitable action has become a good tradition, it was attended by more than 200 families with children with disabilities. The event was attended by about 500 people. Help in the campaign provided the volunteers – young professionals of construction companies of the city", – said the head of the Department of urban planning policy of Moscow Sergey Levkin.

During the day the children made a journey through time and learn how in ancient times produced the dishes, conquered the height of the balloon, studied the depths of the sea and revealed the mysteries of the cosmos. Completed the day with a colorful show program and presentation of gifts.

The tradition of holding a charity event for children with disabilities was put in 2016. Social policy of the construction sector aimed at providing comprehensive support workers and members of their families. Her goal is to show everyone how simple and at the same time, it is important to do good deeds, to give joy and good mood.

Sergei lyovkin said that the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin pays great attention to the social aspect of development, including achievements of citizens with disabilities. Levkin recalled that Sergei Sobyanin has recently established a prize for Muscovites with disabilities. The goal is to draw attention to the accomplishments of citizens with disabilities who live life to the fullest and was able to become successful in various fields.

Prize of the Mayor of Moscow was established in memory of the writer, the author of the novel "How the steel was tempered" Ostrovsky Nicolae. He created his works being totally immobile and blind.
